Editing

Open cards.xlsx using Excel / WPS / Numbers. This is a template file.

Each row represents a card, with the first column being the front side and the second column being the back side.

Please note that do not change or delete the first line, please keep it as it is. The WinkNotes APP needs to determine the file encoding based on the content of this line when importing. Modifying or deleting the first line will cause the import to fail later.

Formatting

You can use the following formats to mark text:

• ::Marker:: Marker , Marker can also be used for cloze exercises (see WinkNotes APP Tips - Setting Text Highlight and Cloze)
• ~Underline~ Underline
• **Bold** Bold
• ~~Strikethrough~~ Strikethrough

Adding Image Attachments

CSV card creation supports image attachments, just follow these three steps:

1. Create a folder named "assets".
2. Save your image files in the assets folder.

Please use English letters, numbers, and underscores for image filenames, such as a.jpg or a_1.jpg. Avoid using Chinese characters and special symbols to prevent encoding issues.

3. Reference the images in the Excel cells using this format:

Note: Only write the image filename, don't include the folder name
This is an [img:a.jpg] image. ✅
This is an [img:assets/a.jpg] image. ❌

Saving as CSV

After editing the template, save it as a CSV file.
In Excel / WPS, select 【File】｜【Save As】 from the top menu bar, and make sure to change the file type to CSV in the popup menu.

• When exporting CSV files, use comma as the separator
• Whether you're using Mac or Windows (Excel or WPS), you can export CSV files with default settings (GBK encoding on Windows, UTF-8 encoding on Mac), no need to modify.

Compressing Resource Package

If you don't include images, skip this section and go to the next chapter.
If you include images, select both the CSV file and the assets folder, then compress them into a ZIP file.

Importing in WinkNotes APP

If you don't include images, just import the CSV file; otherwise, import the ZIP WinkNotes resource package generated in the previous chapter.
Send the file to the device you want to import to (like iPhone). Then, choose to open with a third-party app and select WinkNotes APP.

Windows users can send via WeChat

If you're using Mac, you can also use "AirDrop" to send to your iPhone or iPad.
